Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, is seeking a Mitigation Technician to deliver emergency restoration services for fire, water, mold, sewer, and storm damage. You will stabilize properties, prevent further damage, and provide compassionate service during stressful situations.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC (Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification).
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong customer service mindset.
• Acceptable driving record.
• Ability to navigate Microsoft Teams and complete onsite documentation using a smartphone and industry software (Proven Jobs, Encircle, Docusketch).

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage from fire, water, mold, and storms.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to clean, pack, and store salvageable items.
• Document job progress with photos and notes using PSA and other required software.
• Communicate professionally with clients with empathy and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.
• Set up, operate, clean, and store tools and equipment properly.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols including documentation of consumables.
• Work with project managers, crew chiefs, and team members.
