Job summary

Insurcomm Restoration, part of Fortify Companies, seeks a Mitigation Technician in Denville, NJ, to provide emergency restoration services for fire, water, mold, sewer, and storm damage. You will stabilize properties and deliver professional service during stressful times.

You will work on the front lines of recovery, coordinating with project managers and crews while maintaining safety and quality in every job site.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain IICRC certification.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and customer service mindset.
• Acceptable driving record and reliable attendance.
• Familiarity with MS Teams and onsite documentation using mobile apps.
• Team-oriented with a positive, solution-focused attitude.
• Must safely wear PPE including respirator.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency mitigation calls and assess property damage.
• Perform water extraction, structural drying, and mitigation per IICRC standards.
• Remove and dispose of damaged materials safely.
• Decontaminate, clean, and deodorize affected spaces.
• Collaborate with Contents Division to handle salvageable items.
• Document job progress with photos and notes using required software.
• Communicate clearly with clients with empathy and respect.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized job site.
• Operate and store tools/equipment properly.
• Follow warehouse and vehicle protocols and document consumables.
