Job summary

Ridgemont Resources, Inc. is partnering with a premier regional facility to recruit a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician in Mattoon, Illinois. This BC/BE role offers a lucrative compensation package and a balanced workload with two-physician coverage.

The position features three 10-hour shifts per month, a 32-bed ED, and a supportive environment designed to minimize burnout while delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (or extensive ED experience).
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license (or immediate eligibility).
• Valid DEA registration.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a modern ED (32 beds).
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician for double-coverage.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity cases with tertiary partners.
• Maintain thorough electronic medical records for all encounters.
