Job summary

Talent Solutions Partners seeks an Emergency Medicine Physician for Mattoon, Illinois. This full-time role offers 3 ten-hour shifts (6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM) with a $475,000 annual compensation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine or with extensive ED experience.
• Active Illinois medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain).
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset for a co-coverage model.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients in a 32-bed ED.
• Maintain a low patient pace with fewer than two encounters per hour.
• Collaborate with a second on-duty physician for double-coverage.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity cases to tertiary partners.
• Work a predictable rotation of 15 shifts per month in three 10-hour blocks (6:00–4:00, 1:00–11:00, 4:00–2:00).
• Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties including inpatient psychiatry.
• Maintain thorough electronic medical records.
