Top Echelon Software LLC is assisting in recruiting an Emergency Medicine Physician for Mattoon, Illinois. This hospital-employed role offers a high annual compensation and a double-physician coverage model designed to reduce burnout.

The position features a 15-shift-per-month schedule across three 10-hour blocks, with comprehensive benefits and a strong support environment to sustain quality patient care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine.
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license or eligible.
• Valid DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care in a modern ED.
• Maintain double-physician coverage with a partner.
• Stabilize and transfer high-acuity trauma and cardiac cases to tertiary partners.
• Work a rotating schedule of three 10-hour shifts per month (6a–4p, 1p–11p, 4p–2a).
• Coordinate patient care with on-site specialties including inpatient psychiatry.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records for all encounters.
