Essenti Talent is partnering with a premier regional facility in Mattoon, Illinois to recruit a full-time Emergency Medicine Physician. The role offers a lucrative, hospital-employed practice with double-physician coverage and an optimized workload.

You will work three 10-hour blocks (6:00 AM–4:00 PM, 1:00 PM–11:00 PM, or 4:00 PM–2:00 AM) across 15 shifts per month, with a strong focus on quality care, smooth transfers, and robust EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (or extensive ED experience).
• Active, unrestricted Illinois medical license or immediate eligibility.
• DEA registration.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a team-oriented mindset for co-coverage.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a modern ED.
• Maintain double-physician coverage with a second on-duty physician.
• Stabilize and coordinate transfers for high-acuity trauma and cardiac cases.
• Follow a 15-shift-per-month rotation across three 10-hour blocks.
• Ensure accurate documentation in the EMR.
