Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to ensure readiness of oxygen tanks, stock rooms with supplies, and transport patients as needed. The role supports RNs and physicians in assessments and treatments, with emphasis on patient safety and efficient ED operations.

Requirements include EMT/CNA/MA certification, BLS, dysrhythmia cert within 6 months, and CPI within 90 days. Strong English communication, clerical skills, and familiarity with ED workflows are

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant required.
• BLS (American Heart Association) required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification – California preferred.
• CPI Certification obtained within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English; telephone, typing, and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Reports and documents vital signs, bedside care and observations in the EDIS.
• Provides telephone services, answers calls and relays information to physicians.
• Transports patients to ancillary departments as needed.
• Assists RNs and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments.
• Assists the unit clerk with clerical duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor.
