Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to support fast-paced patient care. You will assist nurses and physicians, transport patients, stock rooms, and help ensure safety and efficiency in the ED.

Ideal candidates have EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant credentials, BLS, and strong communication. This role offers growth opportunities within a leading healthcare system. A focus on reliable documentation and teamwork is essential for success.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant certification required
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) required
• Basic dysrhythmia certification within 6 months of hire
• Current Phlebotomy certification – State of California preferred
• CPI Certification within first 90 days of employment
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills
• Basic computer systems knowledge
• Familiarity with nursing terminology and functions

Responsibilities

• Reports and documents in the ED information system including vital signs and bedside care
• Provides telephone support and directs calls; pages physicians; responds to safety codes
• Notifies ancillary departments of patient service needs in a timely manner
• Transports patients to ancillary departments as needed
• Assists RNs and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments
• Assists the unit clerk with clerical duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor
