Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA is seeking an Emergency Department Technician to ensure patient throughput and readiness of bedside supplies. You will assist RNs and physicians, transport patients, and support the ED team in fast-paced care.

Qualifications include EMT/CNA/MA, BLS certification, dysrhythmia cert within 6 months, and strong English communication. This position offers comprehensive benefits and growth within UHS institutions.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant (Required)
• BLS (Issued by American Heart Association) (Required)
• Basic dysrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire
• Current Phlebotomy certification – State of California preferred
• CPI Certification obtained within first 90 days of employment
• Effective written and verbal communication skills in English
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills
• Basic computer systems
• Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions

Responsibilities

• Reports and documents in the emergency department information system including vital signs and bedside care
• Provides telephone services and directs calls, pages physicians, and handles safety code paging
• Notifies ancillary departments of patient services in a timely manner
• Transports patients to ancillary departments as needed
• Assists RNs and physicians/ PAs with assessments, examinations and treatments as directed
• Assists the unit clerk with clerical duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor
