Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA, seeks an Emergency Department Technician to support fast-paced care, manage oxygen and supply needs, and assist staff.

You will transport patients, assist RNs and physicians, document care in the ED information system, and communicate clearly to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant required.
• BLS certification required.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire.
• Current Phlebotomy certification – California preferred.
• CPI Certification within first 90 days of employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication in English.
• Telephone, typing, and filing skills.
• Basic computer systems.
• Basic knowledge of nursing care terminology and functions.

Responsibilities

• Document patient care in the ED information system, including vital signs and observations.
• Provide telephone services: answering/directing calls, paging physicians, and safety code alerts.
• Notify ancillary departments of patient service needs in a timely manner.
• Transport patients to ancillary departments as needed.
• Assist RNs and physicians with assessments, examinations, and treatments.
