Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking an ER Technician to support ED operations under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role focuses on direct and indirect patient care, maintaining smooth patient flow and adhering to the care plan for all age groups.

The position requires a High School diploma, BLS, CPI within 30 days, and CA EMT/CNA/MA credentials or active RN coursework with clinicals. A basic dysrhythmia certification is also required or obtained within 6 months.

Qualifications

• One year experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
• CPI is required within 30 days of hire.
• CA EMT, CNA or Medical Assistant required –OR– RN program with 2 semesters completed.
• Basic dysrhythmia certification or obtained within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Administer patient care under the direction of a registered nurse or physician.
• Follow plan of care and maintain patient flow in the ED.
• Provide age-specific care from infants to geriatrics.
