Penn Medicine is seeking an ED and Inpatient Patient Access Associate to perform computerized patient registration in the Emergency Room and Admission areas, ensuring data accuracy for reimbursement and a positive patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include verifying demographics and insurance information, collecting Time of Service payments, and coordinating with Financial Counselor as needed.

Formación

• H.S. Diploma/GED required; hospital or physician office registration experience preferred.
• Experience with hospital registration processes is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patient with a positive and professional attitude and initiates registration/check-in in the ADT system.
• Performs follow up on third-party accounts for ED and inpatient admissions, verifies eligibility and benefits, ensures necessary authorizations.
• Documents patient responsibility for services per insurance contracts or Penn Medicine fee schedules; collects Time of Service payments.
• Participates in educational sessions and staff meetings to enhance patient care activities and work behaviors.
• Utilizes Workstation on Wheels (WOW) or handheld devices for bedside registration and adheres to shift commitments.
