UPMC is seeking a Patient Access representative to coordinate patient access across scheduling, registration, referrals and denial management. You will work under department leadership to ensure accurate data capture and timely service.

Key duties include registering patients in the hospital ADT, verifying demographics and insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA. You will interact with patients warmly and support core values of Your Care.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate patient access for all phases of the revenue cycle from scheduling and registration up to referral and denial management.
• Reconcile and maintain the First Net Emergency Department Tracking Board and Hospital ADT system.
• Ensure accurate registration into hospital ADT and clinical systems during downtime with vigilant data integrity.
• Confirm insurance eligibility and coordinate benefits for seamless billing.
• Counsel patients on insurance coverage and potential financial liability.
• Collect and record patient payments including co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles at the point of service.
