Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking an ED Registrar for Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. You will be the first contact for patients and visitors, registering them in EPIC and securing signatures on consent and financial forms. You will verify insurance information to ensure accurate billing and generate patient IDs.

This part-time role requires a High School Diploma or GED and strong attention to detail. You will maintain a clean workstation, assist with downtime procedures, and orient new staff as needed

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• EPIC experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in EPIC.
• Verify insurance information and obtain signatures.
• Produce patient identification bands and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain clean, organized workstation; ensure EPIC accuracy (≈95%).
• Handle POS cash and billing information per policy.
• Assist with downtime procedures and training for new personnel.
• Escalate issues to management (e.g., mass casualty).
• Support ED operations and patient throughput as needed.
