Job summary

Presbyterian Healthcare Services in Albuquerque, NM is hiring a Patient Support Lead-Patient Access to oversee daily operations within the Emergency Department’s patient access area and to lead the registration team toward timely, accurate, and compassionate care.

The role partners with clinical staff and leadership to ensure a smooth check-in from arrival to completion, provides weekend coverage, trains new staff, and supports quality assurance to protect patient data integrity in EPIC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of healthcare experience in ambulatory or hospital setting with significant provider interaction.
• Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT and Medical Terminology.
• 2–3 years of customer service experience in any setting.
• EPIC competency for Registration at completion of Epic Clerical Training.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations for departments within the patient access department.
• Provide weekend leadership coverage and presence to the registration staff.
• Organize workload and scheduling; monitor queues to ensure completion.
• Order supplies and ensure forms are stocked.
• Provide training and education to new staff.
