Job summary

Optum in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Patient Access Lead. You will be the first point of contact for patients, organizing daily activities, handling financial clearance, and guiding customers through payment options to minimize barriers to care.

This onsite role requires 2+ years in patient access or related roles, HS diploma, strong communication, and the ability to work 6pm-6:30am, Thursday-Saturday. Sign-on bonus of 2000 USD for external applicants is offered.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving complex customer problems
• 1+ years of Patient Access and/or Patient Registration experience
• Ability to work 100% onsite at 1955 W Frye Rd., Chandler, AZ
• Must be able to work Thursday - Saturday, 6pm to 6:30am and possible overtime
• Sign-on bonus is available to external candidates

Responsibilities

• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of registration requirements across areas
• Ensures accurate demographic entry into the ADT system
• Reviews accounts for accuracy and required documentation
• Collects and enters data for accurate reimbursement
• Verifies insurance benefits and patient liabilities
• Sets up payment plans for patients who cannot pay in full
• Explains hospital policies and patient rights and responsibilities
