Responsibilities

• Coordinates admissions, discharges, and transfers; tracks bed availability and status.
• Provides administrative support to nurses, hospitalists, case managers, and teams.
• Facilitates timely communication among patients, families, and staff; relays messages.
• Maintains accurate patient records and prepares documentation for admissions and discharges.
• Welcomes and orients patients and families; answers questions and directs concerns.
• Supports unit operations through staffing coordination, inventory, scheduling, and supplies.
• Uses clinical and administrative systems to maintain patient information and scheduling.
• Maintains knowledge of emergency procedures and initiates appropriate responses.
