Baystate Health is seeking an Operations Associate/Monitor Technician to join the Medical/Surgical team at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. This part-time role supports bed management, patient flow, and shifts that include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• GED or HiSET required.
• CPR/BLS certification may be required or completed.
• Telemetry/dysrhythmia training and competency are expected.

Responsibilities

• Bed management and patient flow coordination including admissions, discharges, transfers, and bed assignments.
• Central communication for nurses, physicians, case managers, and hospital teams; provide shift handoffs and follow-up.
• Accurate use of hospital systems; maintain patient records, logs, forms, staffing, schedules, supplies and unit documentation.
• Support Hospitalists and medical/surgical teaching teams with rounds, consults, and daily assignments.
• Observe cardiac monitors; report abnormal rhythms; maintain equipment; provide one-to-one observation as needed; initiate emergency procedures.
• Maintain departmental competencies and CPR/BLS certification when applicable; follow policies and procedures.
