Job summary

Qualifications

• Must complete one of the listed programs and have 1 year of related experience.
• Completion of EMT program OR enrollment in an RN program with first-semester clinicals.
• Active state EMS certification at hire date.
• Military medical training (US Army medic, US Navy corpsman, USAF medic, USCG corpsman).
• Completion of ER Tech CBO Tool within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Collects vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, pulse oximetry, and specimens.
• Performs and reports Point of Care Testing.
• Assist with patient activities and care per care plan.
• Provide for patient hygiene and related care (bathing, suctioning, ostomy care, etc.).
• Assist with patient feeding and mobility.
• Assist with admission, transfer, discharge.
• Prepare patients and chaperone during examinations/procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and privacy; monitor equipment and environment.
