Qualifications

  • Completion of EMT program or enrollment in recognized Nursing program with first-semester clinicals.
  • Active state EMS certification in good standing at hire date.
  • Recognized military training as US Army medic, Navy Corpsman, Air Force Medic, or Coast Guard Corpsman.
  • Completion of ER Tech CBO Tool within 6 months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intermediate technical assistance and supportive patient care in the Emergency Department.
  • Take vital signs, height/weight, intake/output, pulse oximetry, and collect specimens.
  • Perform and report Point of Care Testing.
  • Assist with patient activities and care as per plan of care.
  • Assist with admission, transfer, discharge; prepare patients and chaperone during exams/procedures.
