Job summary

Sierra Medical Center, part of Northern Nevada Health System, is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse in Reno, NV. This full-time role combines direct patient care with clinical leadership and collaboration with physicians and nursing management to respond quickly to changes in patient condition.

You will perform triage, head-to-toe assessments, pain management, and adherence to ER protocols while delivering compassionate care and maintaining service excellence within a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Two years ED experience required.
• Active RN license in state of practice.
• BCLS certification.
• ACLS within six months of hire.
• PALS within six months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and adjust nursing plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Assess and manage patient pain with education and appropriate techniques.
• Utilize triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assign triage categories.
