Sierra Medical Center is hiring an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a per diem role in Reno, NV. The position combines clinical nursing duties with managerial responsibilities, requiring swift assessment and coordination with physicians, nurses, and leadership.

You will deliver direct patient care and participate in staff hiring processes. Qualifications include 2 years ED experience, current RN license in the state, BCLS, ACLS within six months, and PALS within six months.

Qualifications

• Two years of Emergency Department experience required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification within six months of hire.
• PALS within six months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting.
• Participate in hiring staff and communicate with physicians/Nurse Manager/Director/co-workers about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Perform head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy, including pediatric, adolescent and geriatric populations.
• Utilize triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care and accurately assign triage categories.
