Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and support clinical operations within a busy ED. This full-time role combines clinical duties with staffing responsibilities, including collaboration with physicians, Nurse Manager, and other team members to ensure timely, high-quality care.

Candidates must have 2 years ED experience and an active RN license in Nevada; ACLS, PALS and BCLS certifications are required or will be

Qualifications

• 2 years ED experience required.
• Current RN license within the state of practice.
• Current BCLS Certification.
• ACLS Certification within six (6) months of hire.
• PALS within six (6) months of hire.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care, evaluates outcomes, consults with other specialists as required.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.
• Ability to adequately assess and reassess pain and educate patient/family on pain management.
• Uses triage process to ensure timely and appropriate care; assigns triage categories.
