Job summary

Sierra Medical Center in Reno, NV is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for a per diem, flexible schedule. You will provide direct and indirect patient care, collaborate with physicians and the care team, and respond quickly to changing conditions.

The role requires at least 2 years of ED experience, an active Nevada RN license, and BCLS certification. ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 6 months of hire; ENPC/TNCC are optional.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• 2 years Emergency Department experience required.
• BCLS certification at hire; ACLS within 6 months; PALS within 6 months.
• ENPC and TNCC optional.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assess treatment outcomes.
• Perform head-to-toe assessments across patient populations (pediatric to geriatric).
• Manage pain and educate patients and families on pain control.
• Utilize triage process to prioritize timely and appropriate care.
