Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental standards and scope of practice. In collaboration with medical providers and the care team, the RN offers individualized, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, supporting an exceptional patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

• Regularly assesses patient pain and manages it effectively.
• Performs procedures and monitors as ordered, documenting care thoroughly and promptly.
• Responds promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs proactively.
• Educates patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and follow-up care, translating medical terminology for understanding.
• Prepares patients and families for self-management post-discharge.

Qualifications:

• PALS certification within 90 days of employment
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of employment
• Registered Nurse license
• Associate Degree required; BSN preferred with 12 months enrollment and 24 months to complete
• ACLS certification within 90 days; ACLS Instructor preferred
• BCLS certification within 30 days; BCLS Instructor preferred
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent within 1 year
