Job Summary and Qualifications:

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides high-quality, patient-centered care aligned with departmental standards and scope of practice. Collaborating with medical providers and care team members, the RN offers individualized, compassionate care using established models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN advocates for patients and families, embodying the organization’s vision, mission, and values to ensure an exceptional patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.

• Assess patient pain regularly and promote effective pain management, including reassessments.
• Perform procedures, monitoring, and other functions as ordered; document care promptly and thoroughly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs and resolving issues proactively.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, side effects, and follow-up care, translating complex medical terminology for clarity.
• Guide patients and families on lifestyle changes, disease prevention, and self-management for future health maintenance.

Qualifications Needed:

• PALS certification within 90 days of employment.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Associate Degree required; BSN preferred, with 12-month enrollment and 24-month completion.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or instructor certification within 90 days.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or instructor certification within 30 days.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent within 1 year.
