Nutex Health in Jacksonville is seeking a Patient Services Representative to support mid-shift operations in the ER & Hospital. The role focuses on accurate check-in/check-out, patient data collection, and ensuring billing signatures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma and at least two years in a patient access role; experience with ER registration and scheduling is preferred; a commitment to patient confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Patient Access Representative in a Hospital, ER, or Clinic.
• Experience in medical registration, admitting and scheduling in ER settings is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Front Desk Operations: Greet patients and guests with a cheerful demeanor; determine services and direct patients accordingly; collect demographics; signatures for billing; log patient information; manage phone inquiries; maintain a clean, welcoming environment.
• Financial Responsibilities: Collect payments via cash, checks, and credit card for co-pays; maintain a financial ledger and perform daily reconciliation of patient accounts.
• Facility Cleanliness: Help maintain cleanliness of the facility, patient areas, and restrooms.
• Communication Skills: Interact courteously with patients, families, physicians, and team members; uphold Emergency Center values.
• Professional Development: Attend monthly staff meetings and engage in performance improvement activities.
• Other Duties: Assist management with additional tasks or projects as assigned.
