National Public Safety Careers is seeking motivated 911 Call Takers for Burna, KY. You will answer emergency calls, verify location, collect caller information, and input data into dispatch software following approved questions and procedures.

The role requires excellent listening, typing accuracy, and clear verbal communication. Training and certification are provided; candidates may work rotating shifts with a 24-hour operation environment and benefits after eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; dispatch experience not always required.
• Strong listening comprehension and data-entry accuracy essential.
• Clear verbal communication and ability to follow structured procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Help distressed callers focus on essential questions and instructions.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
