Job summary

Public Safety Dispatch Network in Spring Creek, PA seeks dedicated 911 Call Takers to be the first point of contact during emergencies. You will ask focused questions, verify locations, document details, and route information to the appropriate dispatch function. Training provided.

This role may involve shift work, including nights and weekends, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and compassionate communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Customer service or call center experience helpful.
• Ability to follow structured procedures and multi-task effectively.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify the nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Assist distressed callers with essential questions and instructions.
