Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer to join the ACE team. You will lead EMI/EMC testing, verification, and test planning for aerospace systems, ensuring compliance with MIL-STD-461G and other standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
  • 3 years of hands-on EMC/EMI testing and verification across MIL-STD-461 CE/CS/RE/RS methods.
  • Proficiency with MIL-STD-461G, DO-160G, CISPR and related industry standards.
  • Experience with EMI test automation software and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a responsible engineer for electrical system EMI/EMC test and verification per standards and guidelines.
  • Design, develop, and refine Test Plans and Procedures for EMI/EMC tests on avionics components.
  • Perform MIL-STD-461 test suite including CE101/102, CS101/114/115/116, RE101/102, RS101/103.
  • Operate and maintain EMI test equipment: EMI receivers, signal generators, LISNs, antennas, probes.
  • Document test results with spectra, margins, configurations, and pass/fail determinations.
  • Troubleshoot EMI issues and recommend corrective actions such as filtering or shielding.
