Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a skilled EMC Engineer to join the ACE Electromagnetics team. You will lead EMI/EMC testing, develop verification strategies, and ensure compliance across MIL-STD-461 methods for aerospace systems.

This role emphasizes rigorous testing, documentation, and cross‑functional collaboration within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include designing test plans, executing MIL-STD-461 suites, and producing high‑quality reports with traceability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
  • 5 years of hands-on experience in EMC/EMI testing and verification across MIL-STD-461 CE, CS, RE, RS methods.
  • In-depth knowledge of MIL-STD-461G, DO-160G, MIL-B-5087, NASA-STD-4003, CISPR standards.
  • Proficiency in EMI test automation software, data acquisition, spectral post-processing, and limit-line analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a responsible engineer for electrical system EMI/EMC test and verification with MIL-STD-461 applicability.
  • Author comprehensive EMI/EMC documentation, including test strategies and requirements decomposition.
  • Design, develop, and refine Test Plans and Test Procedures for EMI/EMC tests on avionics components.
  • Lead execution of MIL-STD-461 test suite: CE101, CE102, CS101, CS114, CS115, CS116, RE101, RE102, RS101, RS103.
  • Troubleshoot EMI/EMC failures, identify root causes, and propose corrective actions.
