Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking an experienced EMC Engineer to join the ACE Electromagnetics team. You will lead EMI/EMC verification activities for aerospace systems, develop test plans, and ensure compliance with MIL-STD-461G across multiple avionics components.

The role requires hands-on EMI testing experience, strong data analysis skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
  • 3 years of hands-on experience in EMC/EMI testing and verification, with direct execution experience across MIL-STD-461 CE/CS/RE/RS.
  • Proficiency in EMI test automation software, data acquisition, spectral post-processing, and limit-line comparison analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a responsible engineer for electrical system EMI/EMC test and verification, MIL-STD-461 applicability and tailoring for aerospace platforms.
  • Design, develop, and refine detailed Test Plans and Test Procedures for EMI/EMC tests on avionics components and systems.
  • Perform MIL-STD-461 test suite CE101, CE102, CS101, CS114, CS115, CS116, RE101, RE102, RS101, RS103.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain EMI test equipment including EMI receivers, signal generators, LISNs, probes, antennas, and test fixtures.
  • Produce high-quality test reports with spectral data plots, margins, and pass/fail determinations.
  • Troubleshoot EMI/EMC test failures and propose corrective actions such as filter insertion and shielding enhancements.
  • Contribute to requirements definition and validation for EMI/EMC, lightning, ESD, and RF.
