Job summary

Raytheon in El Segundo, CA, is seeking a Software Engineer II (Embedded / Radar) to join the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar team. This onsite role requires developing RT embedded software across radar modes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions.

You will work through the software lifecycle, perform troubleshooting, and support architecture and requirements generation while aiming for performance, cost, and schedule objectives.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in embedded software development.
• Development experience coding in C, C++, ADA or related languages/tools across phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
• Experience working on UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, Green Hills or other Real Time Operating Systems.
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain DoD Secret Clearance; US Citizenship is mandatory to acquire and maintain Security clearances.
• The ability to obtain and maintain an interim Secret U.S. security clearance is required prior to start date.

Responsibilities

• Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to various radar modes and capabilities.
• Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Work with teams across multiple disciplines, internal and external.
• Participate in program and customer meetings/reviews.
• Support the team leads as needed regarding technical decision making, problem resolution.
