Job summary

RTX in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II (Embedded / Radar) to join the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar product team. You will develop RT embedded software for radar modes, contribute across the software lifecycle, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver secure, high-performance systems.

Applicants should have 2+ years in software development, experience in C/C++/ADA, and familiarity with RTOS such as VxWorks or Green Hills. U.S.

Qualifications

Typically requires STEM degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant software development experience.
Experience coding in C, C++, ADA across phases of Software Development Life Cycle.
Experience with UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks, or other Real Time Operating Systems.
Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

Work on technical problems with minimal guidance.
Contribute at all phases of the SW development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
Develop RT embedded SW, specifically pertaining to radar modes and capabilities.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams, internal and external.
Support the team leads in technical decision making and problem resolution.
