Job summary

Raytheon Sensors: Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Software Engineer II [Embedded / Radar] to join the Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar product team.

You will develop real-time embedded software across radar modes, contribute to all phases of the SW lifecycle, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Minimum 2 years of software development experience.
• Development experience coding in C, C++, ADA or related languages/tools across the SDLC.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government issued Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Work on technical problems and provide innovative solutions with minimal guidance.
• Contribute at all phases of the software development lifecycle, including SW/HW integration.
• Develop RT embedded software for radar modes and capabilities.
• Use investigation and troubleshooting skills to assess issues and develop solutions.
• Collaborate with teams across multiple disciplines and external partners.
• Participate in program and customer reviews and meetings.
• Support technical decision making and problem resolution with team leads.
• Ensure performance meets technical, cost, schedule and quality targets.
• Support requirements, architecture generation and analysis as needed.
