Job summary

Raytheon Space and Air division in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer [Embedded / Radar] to join Gen4 Tactical Airborne Radar program teams. This on-site role focuses on developing RT embedded software for radar modes and capabilities, with strong emphasis on SW/HW integration and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Candidates should have a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience, proficiency in C/C++/ADA, and hands-on experience with RTOS.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with at least 5 years of software development experience.
• Experience coding in C, C++, ADA across SDLC.
• Experience with UNIX, Linux, Windows, VxWorks or other RTOS.
• Experience in agile/scrum hyper-collaborative teams.
• Active and transferable U.S. Government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded RT software for radar systems and modes.
• Contribute across SW development lifecycle, including HW/SW integration.
• Provide technical leadership on key tasks and mentor other engineers.
• Support technical decision making, problem resolution, and program reviews.
