Job summary

Magellan Health in the United States seeks a Military and Family Life Counselor - Adult Embedded to deliver MFLC services within a dedicated military unit. You will provide non-medical, short-term counseling, referrals, and health and wellness trainings while maintaining client confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Behavioral Health or Social Work.
• Active unrestricted independent counseling license from a State, DC, US Territory or Commonwealth.
• A minimum two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
• Demonstrate intermediate-level competencies in technology and software (e.g., Microsoft Suite, video-conferencing).
• Ability to engage and communicate with military members or children and respond quickly to emergent situations on a military installation.
• US Citizenship and fluency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Provide MFLC non-medical, short-term counseling and referrals.
• Enter counselor activity data daily and maintain confidentiality.
• Develop professional relationships with installation leadership and POC.
• Deliver training and health/wellness presentations as requested.
• Respond to critical incidents and surge requests as directed.
