Job summary

Magellan Federal is seeking a Military & Family Life Counselor - Embedded to provide non-medical, short-term counseling to service members and families, embedded within a brigade/regiment, and to deliver trainings and wellness presentations. The role requires a master's in Behavioral Health or Social Work, an active independent license, and at least five years of post-licensure clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Behavioral Health or related field.
• Current independent counseling license in applicable jurisdiction.
• Minimum five years post-licensure clinical experience.
• Ability to engage with military members and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical, short-term, walk-around counseling to service members and families.
• Deliver training and health and wellness presentations.
• Enter counselor activity data daily and maintain confidentiality.
• Develop relationships with unit POCs and commanders.
• Respond to critical incidents and surge requests as directed.
• Support DoD protocols and security requirements.
