Highgate Hotels is seeking a Sous Chef for E11EVEN Club Hotel & Residences in Miami. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure quality and cost efficiency, and train staff to meet brand standards. The role requires managing busy shifts with a focus on guest satisfaction and sanitation.

The ideal candidate has substantial culinary experience, knowledge of health regulations, and the ability to lead a team in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years progressive kitchen experience, or 2 years with culinary degree.
• Knowledge of F&B prep, health department rules, liquor laws.
• Long hours often required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, eye appeal and food cost control.
• Train staff and enforce SOPs; work with F&B managers on issues.
• Monitor labor and food costs; assist in menu development with Director of F&B.
• Respond to guest concerns promptly and maintain sanitation compliance.
• Ensure proper daily reports, food storage checks and inventory procedures.
