Job summary

VIP, Inc seeks a Tech-Advisor to deliver exceptional customer experiences at our Barre, VT location. You will help customers at the counter, work as a technician when needed, and uphold VIP standards and safety policies while completing required trainings and certifications.

You will support Service Manager, maintain productive customer interactions, and contribute to a high-performance service team through accurate billing and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong analytical and problem solving; prioritize and implement solutions
• Solid organizational and time management abilities
• Deep understanding of automotive servicing and the automotive industry
• One year of related automotive service experience recommended or required
• Two-year college or technical school program recommended; equivalent combinations considered

Responsibilities

• Maintain workplace safety as Priority #1, follow safety training and reports unsafe conditions
• Work at the counter as service writer to educate customers on vehicle conditions
• Assist as technician when needed and complete services per VIP standards
• Complete required training and certifications for Service Writer and Installation Technician
• Achieve strong customer engagement and meet billed hours targets
• Learn VIP processes and execute daily activities to improve customer experience
• Attend LMS and vendor trainings; participate in team meetings and communications
• Maintain facility and equipment in good condition and document issues
• Ensure compliance with the service Code of Ethics and regulations
• Communicate with management to ensure adherence to standards and policies
