The Alaska Department of Health is seeking an Eligibility Technician 1 to join the statewide Public Assistance Eligibility Team in Juneau. You will determine and process Statewide Heating Assistance applications to help Alaska families achieve independence and self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• One year of experience applying statutes, regulations, or program requirements to process and evaluate documents.
• Experience with customer interaction, explaining policies, and interviewing or counseling individuals.
• Post-secondary education may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Determine and process Heating Assistance applications to support Alaska families in need.
• Review financial, personal, and household information to determine program eligibility and maintain records.
• Ensure timely completion of eligibility determinations and related case documentation.
