What you will be doing:

In this role, you will join the statewide Public Assistance Eligibility Team. Together, we will help Alaskan families, the elderly, and other individuals in need reach higher levels of independence and self-sufficiency by connecting them with the public assistance programs our agency offers. You will also have the opportunity to interact extensively with the public, showing empathy while explaining information needs or determining benefits. Being empathetic while explaining the need for information or determining benefits is a strong asset for this position.

This position joins a statewide eligibility workflow team in local Public Assistance offices across the state.

One year of entry level experience as an Eligibility Technician 1 with the State of Alaska; OR One year performing similar work that developed knowledge and skills in applying program requirements and working with client customers in stressful situations.
