Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking an Eligibility Advisor I for a temporary assignment in Eastland, TX. You will be trained to assess eligibility for SNAP, TANF, and Medicaid, handling inquiries with accuracy and empathy.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment, managing data entry and benefit computations while meeting regulatory timelines and quality standards. The role may require travel up to 10% and overtime as needed.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• sixty (60) semester hours from college preferred.
• One year of customer service experience is required.
• Experience interviewing clients and gathering information is preferred.
• Able to use Word, Outlook and Excel effectively.

Responsabilidades

• Interview applicants in person or by telephone to determine financial eligibility.
• Evaluate data from multiple sources and enter information into the eligibility system.
• Compute and authorize benefits based on eligibility determinations.
• Process work according to regulations and established procedures; perform other duties.
