Job summary

Otis Elevator Co. in Austin, TX is seeking a New Equipment Project Manager to oversee coordination of multiple installation projects.

You will ensure on-time delivery, budget control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction across the project lifecycle. On a typical day you will coordinate contracts, work with sales and field operations, provide regular progress updates, review drawings, manage billing and invoices, and liaise with general contractors, owners, and authorities to maintain

Qualifications

• 2+ years elevator project management and/or construction experience
• Familiarity with cost estimating, scheduling, and contract administration
• Ability to read and review architectural and structural drawings
• Team-oriented and adaptable in dynamic settings
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for developing relationships with stakeholders
• Self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficient in Microsoft software within technical environments
• Strong leadership, time management, and organizational skills
• High school diploma; Associate’s/Technical degree preferred; Bachelor’s degree a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensure flawless execution of each project by completing on schedule and within budget while meeting safety standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations
• Deliver first-class customer service and adhere to Otis’ Absolutes
• Coordinate all contract activities from award to handover and final close of the project
• Collaborate with Otis sales and field operations to ensure installations align with contract documents and project scope
• Provide regular updates on progress to branch, regional, and senior leadership
• Communicate with general contractors, owners, building managers, architects, and authorities regarding project design, preparations, and scheduling
• Work with internal teams to ensure a successful project from financial and customer perspectives
• Manage billing, owner/contractors’ payments, vendor loads, receivables, RFIs, and change orders to maximize cash coverage
• Read and review architectural/structural drawings and interpret contract documents for cost implications
