Job summary

Soho House & Co is seeking a Server in Chicago to educate members on menu items and allergens while delivering elevated service. You will input orders via POS, collaborate with BOH/FOH, and uphold Soho House Service Standards.

Applicants should have 2+ years in a similar setting, thrive in fast-paced environments, and be flexible with shifts including weekends. Join us for a dynamic team-focused role in a renowned hospitality group.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years’ experience in similar capacity.
• Thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and maintain calm, quick problem solving under pressure.
• Hospitable, approachable, passionate about customer service and respectful towards colleagues and guests.
• Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School.
• Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Tips certified and POS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain professional relationships with coworkers and management; complete checklists from Club School.
• Elevate dining experience with food and drink pairings; discuss specials to drive sales with consistent service.
• Inform Management on allergies or red flags to mitigate risk.
• Complete end-of-shift checkout reports; get signed by management.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and company procedures and local, state, federal law.
• Ensure orders are plated and served correctly to members/guests.
• Assist runners and bussers with expo and service bar tickets.
• Clean and stock server alley and bar area; polish silverware and glassware.
• Know the menu well; make suggestions when asked by members/guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
