Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a part-time teacher to share gospel-led Bible lessons with public school students in a classroom setting. The role requires active church participation, strong communication, and a caring, perceptive approach to teaching children.

The teacher will complete LifeWise certification, teach using LifeWise curriculum, maintain records, and engage with families and volunteers to support student well-being.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (students) in a school or church setting.
• Mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and certification within specified timelines.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Maintain attendance and class rosters, and prepare materials for substitutes.
• Keep the classroom organized, safe, and aligned with LifeWise policies.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers, and program director about schedules and student well-being.
