Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education in Warrenville, IL is seeking a Special Education Teacher to manage instructional delivery for elementary students with IEPs. The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, evidence-based practices, and collaboration with a learning team.

The position requires IL PEL and LBS1 credentials or active pursuit, a bachelor's degree in education, and the ability to develop engaging lesson plans using technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or closely related field.
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining an IL professional educator credential (PEL).
• Licensed currently or in the process of obtaining IL learning behavior specialist credential (LBS1).
• Ability to obtain and maintain crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development, differentiation and instruction in an alternative/special education setting.
• Experience with IEPs and providing education plans for at-risk students.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for Elementary School students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction using innovative curriculum resources and software.
• Create comprehensive lesson plans aligned with state and school standards.
• Maintain organized progress reports and student files.
• Co-teach and differentiate instruction to meet IEP goals.
• Adopt PBIS strategies and reinforce positive behavior in class.
