Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education seeks a Special Education Teacher for an Elementary School learning center. You will design dynamic instruction for students with IEPs, using engaging curricula and educational software while aligning with state standards.

You will collaborate in co-teaching settings, track progress, and adapt strategies to diverse learner needs. A passion for growth, patience, and dedication to student outcomes is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in education or related field.
• IL PEL credential in process or obtained.
• IL LBS1 credential in process or obtained.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction with differentiated approaches.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned to standards.
• Maintain student progress records and report outcomes.
• Collaborate in co-teaching settings to meet IEP goals.
• Support PBIS implementation across classrooms.
• Contribute to school community and perform additional duties as assigned.
