Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a ChanceLight company, is seeking a Special Education Teacher for our elementary program in Illinois. You will lead instructional processes for students with IEPs, designing personalized learning experiences in the learning center or classroom and delivering targeted instruction with innovative materials.

The role requires collaboration with families and staff, PBIS implementation, progress tracking, and detailed lesson planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• IL PEL credential or in the process to obtain it.
• IL LBS1 credential or in the process to obtain it.
• Crisis management training certification.
• Experience with curriculum development and differentiation.

Responsibilities

• Create an inclusive, collaborative classroom environment involving students, families and staff.
• Implement PBIS strategies, establish expectations and reward systems.
• Track student progress and maintain detailed records and reports.
• Deliver differentiated instruction, including co-teaching with others to meet IEP goals.
• Develop and adjust lesson plans aligning with standards and student needs.
• Manage IEP goals, interventions and caseloads with organization and care.
