Job summary

ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a Special Education Teacher to lead instructional programs for elementary students with IEPs in an on-site learning center. The role emphasizes differentiated instruction, PBIS, and collaboration with staff to support student growth.

The position requires IL PEL and LBS1 credentials (or in-process) and a commitment to safety, curriculum alignment, and ongoing professional development within a dynamic, mission-driven organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in education or related field.
• Must hold IL PEL or be in process of obtaining credential.
• Must have LBS1 or in process of obtaining credential.
• Experience with IEPs, differentiation, and special education services.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructional process for elementary students with IEPs.
• Deliver targeted instruction and create personalized lesson plans.
• Collaborate in co-teaching environments to meet IEP goals.
• Track progress and maintain student files and reports.
• Apply PBIS strategies and adapt instruction for diverse needs.
